Medipass enables you to process Medicare and DVA claims online, all from your browser and without a terminal. 🎉

Here are some things that you will need to know to get started:

1. Confirm our Medicare/DVA integration is right for you

You can confirm whether our Medicare integration is right for you by reading this article, or just contacting us directly.

2. Complete your Medicare Application form

Before we can process Medicare or DVA claims, you need to submit Application forms to Medicare to enable this. But don't worry, we will guide you through this process.

After signing up to Medipass select the “Dashboard” tab on the left and click the Medicare claiming “Get started” button. You'll be guided through 4 quick steps:

Step 1: Confirm your business and location details.
Medipass will pre-fill your business details and practice location. Click “Confirm & continue”  
Step 2: Confirm your provider details.
Here you can see any providers you’ve added with Medicare “Associated organisations”.  You can add any missing staff here. Once finished, select “Confirm & continue”
Step 3: Application specific questions.
To help us prepare your Medicare Online claiming forms you’ll be asked two questions. Once these are answered, you can select “Confirm & continue”

Once we receive these details, we will prepare all your Medicare paperwork and be in touch with you within 3 business days.

3. Send your Medicare Application form to Medicare

Once you receive your paperwork from Medipass, you will need to review the Application Form, sign it, and then send it to Medicare. You can learn more about this step here.

While Application times vary, we typically find that Medicare will process the Applications within 5 business days. Unfortunately, Medicare do not advise us if your Application has been approved, and so the only way to be sure is to run a transaction. But we recommend that you don't try until 5 days after you send the Application forms to Medicare.

4. Medicare is a Pro feature

While Medipass does offer a range of features at no cost, our Medicare and DVA integration is part of our Medipass Pro tier. Before you can raise Medicare or DVA claims, you will need to subscribe to Medipass Pro. You can learn more about the features and pricing of Medipass Pro here.
