How to submit an invoice to Comcare with Tyro Health Online

A step-by-step guide to using Tyro Health Online to send an invoice to Comcare

Comcare has partnered with Tyro Health Online to introduce digital invoicing, to make it easier for service providers to have invoices approved and receive payment.

Here is a step by step guide on how to submit an invoice.

Step by step

1. Sign up for Tyro Health Online

Log in to Tyro Health Online at connect.medipass.io. If you have not yet signed up for your free Tyro Health Online Provider account, you can do so here.

2. Select Comcare

Click on the "Comcare" tile to begin the invoice. If you have not yet activated Comcare, you can do so by following these instructions.

3. Enter Details

The Comcare invoice will request required information including:

  • Invoice details: enter an invoice number from your practice management software, or accounting system.

  • Provider details: add the details of the provider who performed the service. Providers will need to be set up for Comcare invoicing in Tyro Health Online for them to appear here.

  • Injured worker details: You can either search for an injured worker you have invoiced for before, or click 'Add New Patient' to enter the injured worker's details. When you invoice for a new injured worker, their details will be saved to a Patient Record in Tyro Health Online, so they'll be remembered for next time.

  • Claim number: When you click outside the claim number field after completing this section, the claim number will be verified against Comcare’s records. If the claim number or date of birth don’t match, you’ll be prompted to check and correct these details before moving on.

  • Service notes and attachments: If required, click 'Add service note' and type in any notes in the box that appears. To upload documents, click 'Attach a document' and select the document you wish to upload.

    Note: Make sure you retain a copy of any documents you attach, as you will be unable to access these through Tyro Health Online once your invoice is submitted.

  • Payment codes: enter item codes for the service delivered. If needed, you can add multiple item codes by clicking "Add another item".
    Note: If you're a non-healthcare provider, Comcare also has codes that you can use - please see here for more information.

4. Submit invoice

Review the total amount of your invoice, and your settlement bank details, and click 'Submit Invoice'.

Note: The 'Settlement bank details' will have been added when you activated Comcare, and will be the bank details that Tyro Health Online will deposit funds into. To set up or update settlement bank details, follow these steps.

5. Summary page

After submitting your invoice, you will be taken to a summary screen, which contains all the information of your invoice and its current status. You can return to this screen any time to check the progress of an invoice by going to the 'Invoices' section of Tyro Health Online.
