What functionality is available after connecting?

Tyro terminals can be connected to Tyro Health Online for the following functionality:

Which Tyro terminals are supported?

Tyro Health Online supports integration to Tyro CounterTop and Mobile terminals, however, HealthPoint (for private health insurance claiming, including Overseas Visitor Health Cover claims) is only available on CounterTop machines.

What about Medicare Easyclaim?

Integration to Medicare Easyclaim on the Tyro terminal via Tyro Health Online is not supported. We encourage providers to access Medicare Online via our leading Tyro Health Online integrations.

Do I need any other software to access this functionality?

No - as with all Tyro Health Online features, functionality is available on the browser via tyrohealth.com, so Tyro HealthPoint claims can be submitted from a connected terminal, without the need for any third-party practice management software. Payment requests can also be sent to a connected terminal (using Tyro Health Online) from integrated partners.

Can I use my Tyro terminal with Tyro Health Online and my existing software?

Yes, you can connect your Tyro EFTPOS machine to both Tyro Health Online and your existing practice management software.

Are there any fees?

There are no fees from Tyro Health Online or Tyro to integrate your Tyro terminal to Tyro Health Online. Please note, standard Tyro fees (such as terminal rental and merchant service fees) and standard Tyro Health Online fees will continue to apply.

How do I connect my Tyro terminal to Tyro Health Online?

If you already have a Tyro EFTPOS machine and would like to connect it to Tyro Health Online, check out our step-by-step guide to connect. If you do not have a Tyro EFTPOS machine and would like to sign up, please contact us and get started with a quote.

How do I send a payment or claim request once connected?

After logging into Tyro Health Online, you can send a payment request by selecting the 'Card payment' tile from the 'get paid' page (from the sidebar) - if you've not enabled Tyro Health Online Payments, you'll only see the 'terminal' payment method option.
