Patients can store their credit or debit card details in their Medipass account. However, if your patient wishes to pay their cash, follow these steps below to help them process their payment.

1. Process the patient's payment as normal. For instructions on how to do this, click here.

2. When the patient received the request for approval, they can approve their health insurance claim.

3. Once the patient approves their health fund claim, you will be able to see payment options in your Medipass portal. Select "Do not process with Medipass", and collect the cash payment.

4. After collecting the cash payment, the last step is to click "Submit".


With the HICAPS Go app
If your patient has the HICAPS Go app, they can follow these steps to pay with cash.

1. Process the patient's payment as normal. For instructions on how to do this, click here

2. When the patient receives the request for approval, they tap on "Pay Using" before approving the claim.

3. Tap "Pay in person".

4. Their payment method will be updated. They then tap "Approve" and pay you the gap in cash.
